It is not only the old school estates like Stony Hill Vineyards, Kalin Cellars, Heitz Wine Cellars, Littorai, Joseph Swan and the like who are producing truly cellar-worthy examples of chardonnay these days, as I tasted some absolutely stellar young examples from the likes of Rhys Vineyards and Porter Creek Vineyards that also looked built for the long haul, and with more medium-term cellaring potential, there was a lot to like from folks like Wind Gap and Poe Vineyards in the realm of Chardonnay. “
