Home / ups exception

We received a notice from UPS today that your package was attempted to be delivered but there was a problem. You should have received the tracking on your package (Coming from EagleRock) and you should also be getting the delivery failure notification. I’m not sure exactly why it wasn’t delivered, but the usual suspect problems are:

  • no one available to sign
  • address is incorrect or incomplete

Whatever the problem, we’ve GOT-TO get it corrected quick as we worry about 2 things….

  1. We don’t want your wine on a UPS truck for any longer than it needs to be.
  2. If its not delivered soon, the package will be “returned to sender” which will result in additional shipping fees that we will have to pass on to you. Neither of us want that.

Correcting the problem… Here are your options along with the fees that are charged to me, which I will pass on to you (at no mark up).

All but the last option will require communicating with our shipper EagleRock Fulfillment as they will have to make that change on your behalf UNLESS you have a “My Choice” account with UPS which will allow you to make the changes yourself.

REQUEST WILL CALL
Have your wine held at your local UPS hub on will-call. FREE!
UPS will usually allow packages to be held at their facility for up to 1 week

RESCHEDULE DELIVERY FOR A LATER TIME $17.50
With this option, your wine will be held at your local UPS facility (no promises on temperature control) for up to 1 week. If the package isn’t scheduled within the week it will be returned to sender creating additional shipping fees which will be passed on to the customer.

CHANGE DELIVERY ADDRESS $17.50
Business addresses are ALWAYS the better choice if AT ALL possible. This is because there is always someone available to sign for the package and because of this, UPS usually delivers to business addresses first in the day, followed by residential. Especially critical in the warmer months, we want that wine off of the warm truck and into your cool building.

I’LL BE THERE TOMORROW TO ACCEPT THE PACKAGE
